Peecho’s Christmas favorites

After months of drizzle and a lack of Vitamin D, it’s finally the holiday season. Whether you have to continually endure the dreary weather or if you are going to have a snowy White Christmas, it’s a period of happiness and spending quality time with loved ones. It’s also an opportunity to finish all of those awesome creative projects you’re working on before the start of the New Year. Here are our favorite things about the holiday season.

Food, glorious food!

The food at Christmas could not be better. Pigs in blankets, stuffing, turkey, Christmas pudding, mince pies, cheese and wine, chocolate and pastries galore; is your mouth watering yet? You’re coming to the end of the year, so it’s time to treat yourself and indulge in all of those delightful delicacies that we picture and yearn for until Christmas comes round again next year.

The Christmas Markets

If you’re in Europe, especially Germany, you have to go to one of the amazing Christmas Markets. Walk around and soak up the atmosphere, sip on mulled wine to keep you nice and toasty throughout the cold evening and purchase some of the cute wooden decorations. Make sure you sample the food too!arun-kuchibhotla-179756

Decorating the tree

Real or fake; either one will do. But who will be in charge of decorating this year?

The novelty Christmas jumpers

Everyone has one terrible Bridget Jones style Christmas jumper that they dig out of the closet every year. Mine has reindeers all over it. But when they’re so bad, they’re sooooo good. If you haven’t got it out already, it’s time.

The Christmas music

Whether you like a spot of carol singing, or you have a playlist of cheesy Christmas songs ready, your ears should be buzzing with the sound of festive jingles.

Family time

This is the time for all of the family to come together and spend time shut away together in one place. Whether your family game is charades, Monopoly or maybe you even like to play a bit of Scrabble, every family has a favourite game providing hours and hours of entertainment.tim-gouw-165547

And after all is said and done…

The extra free time for doing what you love. Whether you want to catch-up on reading books that you never have time for, are ready to continue working on your latest novel or are ready to edit your photographs and finish your artwork, steal away more precious hours to relax and do what you love to do.
